Restoring teeth in one day is a reality thanks to dentists

In today’s society, in the rush between jobs and activities, it is not uncommon for us to forget to take proper care of our health and, even when it is deteriorating, to procrastinate about seeing a specialist. One of the most common examples is the visit to the dentist, which is often avoided. But if you delay, you have to endure even more pain and daily inconvenience. This was the case for Inesa D.. Her years of painful life with dental plates in a dental clinic changed overnight with the restoration of her teeth on implants.

Inga Sadzevičienė came to the Papadent dental clinic after winning a competition announced by the dental clinic, the prize of which was a tooth restoration in one day. The patient arrived with two removable dentures. Unfortunately, they had already served their time, as the lower denture was not holding up at all (dentures in Vilnius), and the upper denture was no longer suitable for wearing. Therefore, it was decided to make a new one for the upper jaw and to place 4 implants in one day.

Tomas Stumbrys, head of the Papadent dental clinic, says that all it took was a change in Inesha’s life: “Before the procedure, Inga arrived at the clinic flustered and withdrawn, but after the procedure, she walked into the clinic with a bold, radiant smile on her face. The change was noticeable very quickly. It is pleasing to see that such a procedure has given the patient a lot of confidence. Not only her facial expressions have changed, but also her gait and posture. You could see in her eyes that she was no longer afraid to speak, because she was no longer tormented by the constant fear that her teeth would fall out when she spoke. It must be impossible not to feel that kind of fear inside.”

There are hundreds of patients who have their teeth restored in one day

The specialist assures us that there are many people who suffer daily stress about their teeth. However, not everyone dares to turn to specialists. “But it is encouraging that more and more people are opting for operations that give them a new life, a chance to smile and eat. They love themselves again. Especially since nowadays, technology already makes it possible to rebuild the entire jaw in one day. Although patients roll their eyes when they hear about this possibility, there are hundreds of such cases. We encounter such procedures almost every day, and patients who had few or no teeth can enjoy teeth restored in one day. These are not sound advertising phrases, they are reality.”

  • How did you feel before surgery?
  • Of course I was very worried. But I had faith that everything would be OK. I was looking forward to finally being able to eat normally, because until now it has been very difficult. It is now four years that I have been wearing plates for both upper and lower jaw, so I had to take them out all the time, glue them in. This has been very difficult. I knew it was long overdue, but the financial means were not there, so I delayed it further.
  • What happened to the need for dental plates?
  • Parodontosis. Teeth started falling out one by one. At first it didn’t appear very pronounced, but after giving birth I had to be very worried because my teeth just started falling out. But even with the plates, I felt constant stress, avoided smiling and socialising. And eating was very difficult and unpleasant. I started to avoid even eating. And then I decided to take part in the Papadent competition.
  • How did your family react when they found out that you had won this competition?
  • He was very happy. My daughter and I filled in the entry form together, so the support was there right from the start. When the draw took place, I was not at home and could not watch it, and my daughter told me that I had been drawn. We were looking forward to that day, I was still hoping inside, but when I found out that I had won, I didn’t believe it right away. So when I got home, I watched the draw again to make sure I heard my name. Then I had to wait impatiently for the doctor’s call. And I got it!
  • Was the surgery painful?
  • I was worried that I would need time to recover after the operation, so I asked for time off work. But to be honest, if I had needed to, I would have been able to go to work that day and I felt fine.
  • What has changed since you had dental implants?
  • Already after one week, I noticed that a lot had changed in my life. I was different not only at home, but also at work and with friends. It’s becoming easier and more pleasant to smile, and I don’t have to cover my mouth with my hand as I used to do before. Of course, it is a great pleasure to eat normally, without having to run to get a plate glued and suffer unpleasant feelings. The constant removal, cleaning and maintenance of the plates was time-consuming and incomparably more uncomfortable than implants. Now I feel just like I have real teeth, I clean and care for them as if they were natural teeth, and there is no need for any additional maintenance procedures. It may seem like a small thing, but when it’s something that I have to deal with on a daily basis, it’s frustrating and makes me feel uncomfortable in front of other people. Now I feel completely different – it’s a complete change in my life, which is very satisfying. I am looking forward to replacing both the upper plate with implants and the fixed denture on top of them.
