As dental science continues to advance, newer techniques are being developed that combine cost, treatment efficiency and aesthetic results. Thanks to these advances, since 2013 we have been able to offer our patients the ALL-ON-4® (All on Four) technology, which makes the restoration of lost teeth extremely fast and painless.
The teeth restored with this technology are extremely stable, allow you to chew hard foods and cannot be lost during sports or other active activities. And unlike dentures or plates, which do not require periodic removal and do not require eating cold or hot food, the teeth on the four implants allow you to experience the temperature and taste of food as if you were eating with your natural teeth. This technology, which is currently the most advanced in the field, is mainly used for patients who no longer have natural teeth or whose teeth are in such poor condition that treatment is impossible, difficult, very time-consuming, or not cost-effective or efficient.
A temporary denture, which is placed within 24 hours of the implant, is made of acrylic and braided wire or milled from strong plastic. It is ideal for the period until the implants are stable, but once the mucous membranes have swollen and the gums have seated, it is highly desirable, and in most cases necessary, to replace the temporary denture with a permanent one.
It is advisable to do this 3-9 months after implantation. Modern dentures are made of materials that are durable and long-lasting, ensure normal chewing function and look truly aesthetic.
The denture is sufficiently durable and strong, with an internal metal framework that is not visible and does not affect the aesthetic appearance, and the teeth are acrylic, tailored to the patient’s aesthetic needs.
Compared to a temporary denture, this is a significant improvement and is manufactured in stages in the laboratory, allowing you to choose virtually any colour, shape and size of your teeth.

The denture is made by coating the metal framework with a ceramic layer that matches the colour of the natural teeth. These dentures have a good aesthetic appearance, do not wear out at all and are cheaper than zirconia ceramic dentures, but they are not light-transmissive and therefore do not always look natural enough. Fractures in the ceramic finish are also common, and are significantly more difficult to repair than acrylic dentures.
This prosthesis is made when there is a vertical gap of less than 12mm. The metal ceramic denture is made in a laboratory where the shapes, colours and sizes of the natural teeth are reproduced with precision, but the aesthetic and physical properties of this type of denture are inferior to those of zirconium ceramic.
Zirconia ceramic dentures are very aesthetic and robust and are made of zirconium oxide, which is prepared by computerised milling, so that the framework is a homogeneous block.
Aesthetics is one of the most important criteria when it comes to dentures, so when you choose a zirconia ceramic bridge, you can rest assured that your artificial teeth will look truly natural.
Compared to metal ceramics, zirconia dentures are white in colour and have a light transmitting property. If the dentures are fixed on implants, the dentures come into contact with the gums, so it is important that the denture material does not cause allergies. Zirconia ceramics are accepted by the body as a natural material, so they do not cause any discomfort and there is no specific taste in the mouth. Zirconia ceramic dentures are ideal for patients who want an aesthetically pleasing, long-lasting appearance and a sturdy construction.
If only one tooth is missing, there are various options for restoring the tooth, which sometimes involve grinding the teeth next to it. Meanwhile, dental implants can be placed even if there are no teeth in the mouth at all. In such cases, there are only two options – removable dentures or dental implants – and the latter option has far more advantages. The implant will have to last you at least 10-20 years, so the choice must be a responsible one. Our dentist will always suggest the most suitable implant for you, taking into account the bone structure of your jawbone, the type of prosthesis you are planning to have, and will ensure that the price is in line with the quality achieved.
The prosthesis constructed on 4 implants not only gives the patient a feeling of stability and strength compared to the previously problematic situation, but most importantly, it ensures quality chewing function. As the dental implants are threaded into the jawbone, the physical pressure generated by chewing is transferred to the bone structure – chewing follows the normal physiological course, ensuring quality jaw functionality. The dentures are mounted on 4 special implants and provide physical and psychological comfort – the patient can eat as if he/she had his/her own teeth and the denture itself looks aesthetic and natural. It also does not fall out on its own, as was sometimes the case with previous removable dental constructions, because the dentures are fixed to the implants by screwing.
The dentures on all 4 dental implants do not cover the palate and therefore do not cause a nausea or vomiting reflex. Traditional removable dentures – the plates, if they are not held in place by the implants, rest on the mucosa. The chewing stress is then placed on the gums rather than on the jaw, which not only leads to bone atrophy but also prevents the patient from chewing food properly, resulting in the introduction of foods that are no longer available and that may have been popular before.
The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia, ensuring maximum comfort for the patient. There may be some discomfort as the tissues heal in the post-operative period, but your doctor will prescribe painkillers to help eliminate pain during this phase.
The initial implant procedure takes about 2 hours. After 6-24 hours, temporary dentures are placed on top of the 4 implants threaded into the jaw. After 3-9 months, when the implants have healed and the patient has adapted to the temporary denture, a permanent denture is made.
During the first procedure, the doctor will thread the implants and place temporary, but comfortable and strong dentures on 4 of them, which will allow you to chew food successfully and show off your beautiful smile. At the end of the healing period, permanent teeth will be placed on the same 4 implants. Due to the simplicity of the treatment, all implant placement and complex procedures are carried out during the first visit.
Dental implants are a very popular procedure, but like many other procedures, they are not available to everyone. Dental implants are performed on people of all ages, so it can be performed on a 60-year-old or a 95-year-old. On the other hand, a fully formed jawbone is essential for dental implant placement, so other methods of restoring the teeth are suggested for those aged under 16 or 17 years. Dental implants are basically a minor operation, but in some cases they cannot be performed. Dental implants are also not threaded during pregnancy, when the patient has no dental cleanings, when the patient has oncological diseases and is undergoing chemotherapy or irradiation, or when he or she is taking a certain group of bisphosphonate drugs for osteoporosis, which of course can be implanted in most cases once the condition has passed. Immune system disorders, allergies to the materials used in the implantation process and poorly controlled diabetes mellitus may also be contraindications. Acute infectious and systemic diseases are also incompatible with implant placement, but can be treated with implant-supported dentures.
The implant is threaded and the mucosa is sutured. Under local anaesthesia, a minimal incision is made in the gums. The implant is threaded into the drilled lodge. The gum is sewn shut.
The implant is opened after 2-6 months and a healing head is placed. After the healing head has healed, an appointment is made for the impression to be taken.
The implant is placed one month after the head is placed on the extracted tooth. The impression is taken and sent to the laboratory. The crown is no different from natural teeth.
This type of implant placement does have a number of advantages, such as it ensures a secure attachment of the implant, does not put any strain on the tooth, and costs less because it does not require the fabrication of a temporary dental crown. However, this method is suitable mostly for molars. If the bone is stable and during implantation it can be seen that the implant is also firmly threaded, then the mucosa-forming healing head is immediately placed on the implant and the procedure of opening the implant is avoided.
