Professional Oral Hygiene

In case of incorrect cleaning of the teeth, a soft plaque constantly remain on them, which triggers the protective reaction of the gums – inflammation which main features are gum swelling, redness and bleeding. Untreated gum inflammation eventually can develop into periodontitis that damages the soft tissue and destroys the bone that supports your teeth. A soft plaque can be easily removed with your personal oral hygiene products – toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss and mouthwash. If you do not remove a soft plaque, its mineralization starts in 1-3 days and within 10-20 days a soft plaque turns into stones.

Professional oral hygiene – it is a hygienic procedure, during which the mineralized and non-mineralized plaque is removed, surfaces of the teeth and fillings are polished

How to clean properly the teeth?

Dental filling

Odontologists recommend to have a preventive check of your teeth twice a year. If necessary they must be filled.

Therapeutic dentistry (dental filling) – the most common therapeutic procedure at the dental office. This treatment is applied when the aim is to restore the functions and aesthetic appearance of a damaged tooth. Usually dental filling is necessary when tooth decay has damaged tooth enamel.

Endodontics (dental root canal treatment)

From Greek language endodontics means science about the “inside” of the tooth, i.e. dental root canal treatment. The main goal of Endodontic treatment is to destroy micro organisms in root canal system and protect the tooth and surrounding tissues from infection. For this purpose, a root canal should be cleaned and hermetically filled. A successful canal treatment can be usually performed by using modern treatment methods and materials.

The most common reason for bacteria to access the root canal system – tooth decay, through which bacteria extend to the pulp of the tooth. If canals are not treated, bacteria get into surrounding tissues through a root apex and cause inflammation. Eventually jawbone is being lost around an infected tooth and inflammation spot forms. All this can lead to more serious complications.
